The Bizzell Memorial Library, is one of the coolest building on the University of Oklahoma Campus.  It was designed by the architecture firm Layton Hicks & Forsyth constructed in 1929, built in the Classic Gothic Style. Bizzell Memorial Library is located at the heart of the OU campus.

One of my favorite room in the Bizzell Memorial Library is the Helmerich Great Reading Room. By the sound of its name, the Helmerich Great Reading Room is a huge spacious study room with many desks and books. This room is so quite that you can hear your pen click or you typing on your keyboard. The Great Reading Room is a great place for studying, especial when you really want to stay focus with minimal distraction.

First Presbyterian Church, Tulsa OK

The First Presbyterian

There are a lot of attractive buildings/churches in Downtown Tulsa, but there is a church that I toured, the First Presbyterian Church. The size of this church and the way it is designed caught my attention. The church is huge with many triangular arches. There are colorful stain-glasses all around and inside the Church. If I recall, the church has 4 levels.

The Church was first organized in 1885. Over the course of time, the Church was remodel with additions and rebuild, increasing the sizes and levels of the Church. I would assume that the Church’s architecture style is the Art Deco.  The architecture  style seems to have a luxury, glamour, exuberance and faith in social and technological progress. The First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa undergo a lot of changes to become a place of worship and attraction.
